The team sets out with a goal “to provide students with a welcoming and safe environment, to mingle and be social with one another and make friends!” Panetta explained “a spot for you to be yourself and to just have a good time.”
The year of events has already begun, and Hawk Team has hosted many exciting events already. In affiliation with the Student’s Union, Hawk Team organized a bus ticket to Toronto for at Blue Jays game, along with an exclusive Blue Jays x WLU hat.

What have Laurier students’ experiences with the events been? “I enjoyed the events I went to in my first year, it was a good opportunity to meet fellow students. As a commuter student these events make it much easier to meet and get to know fellow students.” Leen Alhamwi, second-year Criminology student, said.
If you’d like to attend the events, look for event posting through @campuslifebrantford on Instagram and keep an eye out around campus for event postings.
