School is finally coming to an end, which means the season for reading is approaching. There is nothing better than hot weather and a good book.Here are three recommendations that will have you feeling the summer vibes.
The first book is Happy Place by Emily Henry, an author known for their summer reads. Happy Place follows Harriet and Wyn, the couple in the friend group that has been together for what feels like forever except for one small thing—they aren’t a couple anymore and haven’t been for six months. What she wasn’t expecting was that it would be her dog claiming a man— by peeing on him. Ethan likes Ali and her cute overalls but the last thing Ali is looking for is a way to complicate her always hectic life. A summer romance couldn’t be too bad though, they are fun and short-lived so what could go wrong?
The last book is The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren.The book follows Olive, also known as the unluckiest person around. In contrast, her twin sister Ami has only known luck. With her wedding coming up, which was completely paid for by winning a contest, Olive must spend the day with her least favourite person — Ethan, the best man. Can it get any unluckier than that? Olive makes it through the wedding chaos and is ready to get back to her life no matter how unlucky she is. This all changes when the entire wedding party gets food poisoning and the only oneswho don’t are Olive and Ethan. With everyone down and out the fully paid honeymoon in Hawaii is up for grabs and Olive thinks her luck is turning around. That is until she finds herself on the vacation with Ethan by her side. They are quick to instill a plan to avoid each other but when Olive runs into her boss and tells a white lie, she and Ethan find themselves pretending to be newlyweds. The only thing is they don’t mind pretending.
