In the early morning of January 13, a fire struck at a two-storey King Street building located behind the Lucy Marco Place residence. It is assumed that the fire started at around 7 a.m. and fire fighters arrived on the scene shortly after. They had the fire under control by 7:40 a.m.
Fire fighters put out minor flames around the building until around 9 a.m.
The fire had engulfed the second floor and burned through windows.
The building contains apartments, a lawyer’s office, a convenience store, and a pet grooming shop. There have been no casualties reported from the fire and fire fighters are still unsure of the cause of the fire. As of yet, there is no estimate of the damage caused by the fire.
