The place to be this Friday is Jackhammers when the bar will host the CD release party of the Hamilton-area band, Miasmata.
The band will take to the stage to perform songs from their new, self-titled album. The show will also feature performances by In Ambush and Wentworth.
Ryan Perry, who performs vocal and guitar for Miasmata, describes the band’s sound as “heavy and melodic rock and roll music.”
“You can expect three of the area’s brightest, up-and-coming bands performing high energy sets,” he adds. “There’ll be frosh-style drinking and heavy debauchery.”
“Frosh-style drinking” during Frosh Week? Go figure.
The show starts at 9:00 P.M. this Friday, with tickets reasonably priced at $10.00 and available exclusively through Miasmata’s MySpace or Facebook pages. Requested tickets will be available for pick-up at the door. This is a 19+ event and tickets are limited.
